The Best Things in Life are Free

How quaint, but yet undeniably true. The greatest "freebie" in this life is an eternal ticket to heaven and a true relationship with God and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. God offers this gift to every individual, the gift of eternal life. As with all gifts it is free to the recipient, though it may have cost the giver a great deal. The gift of eternal life and a home in heaven cost Jesus his life. He died on the cross to pay its price.

Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You may be asking yourself the question, "How may I accept this free gift?", for every gift must either be Accepted or Rejected.

Well read further for this explanation of GOD'S GIFT.

1. YOU MUST ADMIT THAT YOU ARE A SINNER
Romans 3:10 - "There is none righteous, no not one."
Rom. 3:23 - "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

2. YOU MUST BELIEVE THAT THE PENALTY OF SIN IS "DEATH AND HELL"
Rom.6:23a - "The wages of sin is death..."
Luke 16:23 - "And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments..."
Rev 20:14 - "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."

3. YOU MUST BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED ON THE CROSS TO PAY THE PRICE FOR YOUR SINS AND OFFERS SALVATION AS A FREE GIFT
Rom. 5:8 - "But God commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Rom. 6:23b - "... but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

4. YOU MUST BELIEVE THAT JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD.
Rom 10:9 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Rom 8:34 - "... It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."

5. YOU MUST REALIZE YOU CANNOT WORK YOUR WAY TO HEAVEN.
Ephesians 2:8 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast."

6. YOU MUST REPENT (BE SORRY) FOR YOUR SINS AND WILLING TO TURN FROM THEM.
Luke 13:5 - "Except ye REPENT, ye shall likewise all perish"
Acts 17:30 - "... but now commandeth all men every where to repent."
Acts 20:21 - "... repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."

7. YOU MUST CONFESS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR
Romans 10:9 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Today is the day of salvation

2 Corintians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Call on Christ today. A sincere prayer from a heart that is truly sorry for your sin and a desire to change from the wrong path to one of holiness and service to God, can change your eternal destiny.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The gift is free to all who will call upon His name.

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Jonh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Have you chosen to accept this gift? --- Or will you reject it?
Have you chosen to turn from your past sins and yield your life to Jesus?
