Mountain View Baptist Church was started under the direction and leadership of the Lord by a man who had been establishing a church in Virginia. He sensed the Lord calling him to Central Texas and eventually ended up on the corner of FM 2410 and Cedar Knob Road. The church was officially organized with its aim and purpose to reach the people of the area with the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Mountain View Baptist is a twenty first century church with the first century commission of helping to bring the gospel message of salvation to people, discipling them to walk in the ways of the Lord Jesus, so that they in turn can go out and do likewise.

We are a church that is centered on the teaching and preaching of the Word of God. We also have a lively Christ centered music program that exalts Christ.

There is a Sunday School program for various ages that is centered on the teaching of the Bible.

Missions is a very important part of the mission of the church. We believe in helping missionaries go to a place where God has called them by having them come by to present the field and then to help them financially as God leads.

We want to extend a cordial welcome to all who may not have a place that is a church home for you or those who are not familiar with the Christian life.

We will do our best to welcome you, accept you and teach you the truths of God's word.
